Clapboard House

Clapboard House publishes the finest stories and poetry printed by established and emerging writers, with undergraduates.

Dorothy Allison, acclaimed author of Bastard Out Of Carolina, recently judged our undergraduate small story contest. Included in Steve Almond’s 2008 Best od the web, Clapboard House plans a greatest of the house print anthology for 2010. Whether we are considering the work of an award winning, much available writer or the firstly submission of a fledgling writer, our expectation and single requirement of both is excellence.

The Cincinnati Review

The Cincinnati Review established in the fall of 2003. The Cincinnati Review draws together within its pages the finest creative and critical work from across the country. The Cincinnati Review strive to provide a venue for writers of any background, at any point in their literary careers, to showcase their best writing.

The Cincinnati Review last several issues include work from award-winning writers Molly Peacock, Margot Livesey, Antonya Nelson, John Koethe, Denise Duhamel, Michael Knight, George Singleton, Caroline Knox , Edith Pearlman, Mary Karr and Mark Halliday. Poems and fiction appearing in CR have been selected to appear in New Stories from the South, Best American Poetry, Best American Mystery Stories, Best American Essays and The Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses.
